Honorable Mention I met Lars on Mount Kilimanjaro we were in the same group of about twenty people. Me my friend Jason and Lars seemed to have the same walking pace. Either that or we were in no real hurry. Our most pressing concern seemed to be deciding if the guides perception of time was equal to ours. After four or five hours of walking we would start to ask if we were almost at camp and the reply would be, "Yes it's just above that hill about an hours walk". An hour would pass and no camp. So we would repeat the question and receive the same answer. This continued every day until we realized camp was more or less eight hours away at our pace. Kilimanjaro is a lot of slow walking, heavy drinking of H2O and lots of peeing. Along the way you talk and make good friends. I consider Lars one of those.

Lars Roberts, "Africa is a crazy place, these Dar Updates basically wrote themselves. I was mostly an active observer. That’s right, an oxymoron. This country is full of contradictions, I fit right in. There were many fantastic experiences, I hope seeing them through my eyes gave you just a little glimpse of the chaos and beauty this place has to offer. Nimependezwa sana. I’ve enjoyed myself very much."
